Carpet vinyl laminate or hardwood can be installed over platon and osb or plywood subfloor. On fresh concrete you can install flooring as soon as you can walk on the slab. Platon creates an impermeable sub floor vapour barrier and air gap allowing the concrete to breathe while keeping the floor dry. Platon comfort allows for an uninterrupted construction process a direct result of both platon air gap technology and the isolation of concrete slab from wooden flooring.

Use platon in conjunction with form a drain to keep basements dry and healthy. Platon can be installed directly over concrete walls with conventional means where the thermaeze tm or t roc tm insulation system is used on. The installation of the floor is possible within days after the concrete sub floor has been poured a saving in time that converts into profit. Platon can also be installed over existing basement floors to isolate floors from cold damp concrete keeping basements healthy warm and dry.

Platon and the air gap do not detract from the r value of the insulation. Installation is fast and easy thanks to platon speedclip and speedstrip fasteners. When used beneath a wooden sub floor and over concrete in a basement it makes floors comfortable odour free healthy and dry.
